The Perfect Day!

I have been waiting for this day for so long, and my baby shower turned out to be the most perfect day ever!   I had all my closest friends and family all in one place with me celebrating my little Taylor!   To top things off, my party was so beautifully done and perfect.  I really couldn’t of asked for anything more!  I am humbled at the fact that so many people love and support me.  I am so overwhelmed at the love and anticipation everyone has for my baby girl!  Taylor has no idea how loved and wanted she is!

Here is the hostess with the mostess… My Mom :)

There were so many little details to my shower that made it so special…

There is so much generosity and talent that surrounds me!  My friends and family contributed in so many ways to make this day special for us.  We are living moments that we will remember and cherish forever.

It was so much fun opening up all the cute little girl things.  Taylor is going to be one fashionable little baby!  We got everything from bathing suits to diapers to everything personalized…

Taylor even got “Snuggle Puppy” serenaded to her by LB and Stephanie!

It hasn’t even sunk in yet that all this baby stuff is ours and that it will go to use soon for our baby!  Last night, we went through all the precious little things and took a longer look at everything.  We got to read all the cards and personalized messages in the books.  It was fun watching Josh go through everything we got too.  He’s doing very well adapting to all the pink girly things that are quickly filling the house.

A special thanks to all who helped out planning my shower… Allison, thank you for hand making the party favors and organizing the games.  And Lauren, thank you for planning the party decor; from the centerpieces to the clothes line to the balloons.  The details that you planned really made the party come together.  Tina, a big thank you to you and your sister for the delicious cupcakes.  They were almost too pretty to eat!  Aunt Shermy, thank you making the beautiful centerpiece!  It was so pretty and really dressed up the main table.  Jessica, thank you for making the most beautiful diaper cake!  KC, a simple thank you is not nearly enough!  Everyone agrees that your maternity photos are amazing!  We will cherish them for ever and ever.  Thank you to all who helped set up and break down.  It all went off without a hitch!  To my sweet Mommy, thank you for pulling all this together for us.   You got me everything I ever wanted and more!

Do I have the most talented and generous friends and family, or what?!?

  5. lauren,
Your shower looked like it was beautiful and full of excitement. I loved the clothes line idea...diaper cake was sooo cute and the maternity photo's were fab from what I could see in the background. I too had that book "guess how much I love you" for TanaLee...she loved that book most, I'm sure Taylor will agree.
Thank you for sharing the day with "us".
    Sending love from Oregon,
    ~Felicia

  7. So touched by your blog & pictures, I'm tearing up. I remember how special our shower for Madelyn was and I can only imagine what THIS shower means to you & Josh after all that you've been through to get here. Taylor is surrounded by so much love already, she is one lucky baby and so her Mommy & Daddy. I have a little gift for Taylor too ... I'll meant to send it up to Allison last week but I didn't get the chance. I'll send it up asap, it's very small gift, but I hope Taylor enjoys it.

  10. Very beautiful Lauren. What a beautiful house, beautiful gifts galore and you have such wonderful friends and family, baby Taylor is so very loved just as her sisters & brother are.

I still am bummed I never got my shower due to me being in the hospital with miss Sadie, but, I would MUCH rather take her being here healthy than anything else any other day! Cannot wait for baby Taylor's arrival. She is going to be one very hip fashionable little girl just like her mama!

    My Story
    Welcome to my life…

Over the past three years it has been flipped upside down. I am 31 years old, and married to my hubby of three years, Josh. We have 4 beautiful angel babies, who are fondly known as our “Green Beans”. The first of my quads, Heidi, held on as long as she could and was born on January 31, 2009 after pPROMing at 17 weeks. A few weeks later, I pPROM’d with my sweet Lily. Lily, Paige, and Rylan were all born at 22 weeks on February 23, 2009. Just after being released from the hospital empty handed, I returned with a high fever and infection. Two of the nights I spent in the hospital that week, I honestly thought I was going to die. It was the sickest and most hopeless I’ve ever been. I’m pretty sure my diagnosis was a broken heart.

Our journey to becoming parents has had its share of happiness and heartbreaks. I got through every day by staying close to Josh, friends and family, blogging, and relying on God that my future will be bright. All the love and support I’ve gotten has greatly helped me manage……I am alive and well, and want to be my absolute best as a result of this.

On May 1st 2011, we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Taylor, into this world. She is our miracle baby and brings so much joy and happiness in our lives. She is such a gift from God.

I have come out of all of this with a better appreciation of life. I hope to make the best of this situation by helping others who will experience a similar loss.
