Tissues for my nose

Vaporizer for my congestion

Vicks on my chest and under my nose

Chloraseptic spray for my sore throat

Anti itch gel for my itchy butt

Prenatal vitamins

Tylenol Cold medicine

Maternity lotion for my expanding belly

Carmex for my dry lips

Lots of fluids and rest…

I’m a MESS!

I’ll be back to my normal self soon, but right now, I am feeling pretty pitiful as a nasty cold sets in.

Good Night All!

  1. I've been reading your blog for quite some time now.

Not sure if you know this, but if you stay away from sugar and dairy while you are sick, it will help you to not be so plugged up and miserable. Also, take lots of vitamin c (although, with your pregnancy, not sure how much you can take). I've been sick for the last several days and it actually works.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  2. Oh you poor thing Lauren!
I remember being in sick once in my pregnancy and it was awful. I hope with lots of rest and ALL that stuff you'll get back to your normal. Take care-

  3. Sorry friend :( Love you and rooting for a speedy recovery!

  4. Hope you feel better soon! I hate all of your symptoms, but I'm hating your itchy butt most of all. If it was anything like mine, it truly is painful! Hang in there and Vit C does work!

  5. Did you have the flu shot? seems like everyone that got it is getting sick. Hang in there take some extra vit c if docs says its ok.

  6. Hope you feel better Lauren!!!

  7. Awh!! Hope you feel better soon!! Get alot of rest!!

  8. Not fun. I'm just getting over one. Hope you start feeling better soon! x

  9. Oh no! Sorry you're not feeling well :( Hope you get better soon!

  10. I've heard if you do backflips and handstands that your cold will instantly go away....but probably not a good idea while prego. Feel better soon LG!

  11. I think I missed something important. Itchy butt?

  12. Ugh, being sick while prego is the pits. I am so sorry!! Hnag in there. Hope you feel better soon.

  13. Oh Lauren, bless your heart....I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. That's a true bummer! Hope that you get your "sparkle" back soon.

My Dr. advised against using Vicks so maybe ask about that if you haven't already. I know every Dr. has their opinion :) I bought a humidifier, the cool mist type, and run it at night and it helps immensely with congestion and stuffy nose. I was suffering from nose bleeds.

As for the itchy'ness. I have the worst itchy skin on the planet! I'm bathing in Aveeno liquid soap and slathering on Eucerin and the combo is helping :)

Sending you some sunshine...feel better sweetie.

    My Story
    Welcome to my life…

Over the past three years it has been flipped upside down. I am 31 years old, and married to my hubby of three years, Josh. We have 4 beautiful angel babies, who are fondly known as our “Green Beans”. The first of my quads, Heidi, held on as long as she could and was born on January 31, 2009 after pPROMing at 17 weeks. A few weeks later, I pPROM’d with my sweet Lily. Lily, Paige, and Rylan were all born at 22 weeks on February 23, 2009. Just after being released from the hospital empty handed, I returned with a high fever and infection. Two of the nights I spent in the hospital that week, I honestly thought I was going to die. It was the sickest and most hopeless I’ve ever been. I’m pretty sure my diagnosis was a broken heart.

Our journey to becoming parents has had its share of happiness and heartbreaks. I got through every day by staying close to Josh, friends and family, blogging, and relying on God that my future will be bright. All the love and support I’ve gotten has greatly helped me manage……I am alive and well, and want to be my absolute best as a result of this.

On May 1st 2011, we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Taylor, into this world. She is our miracle baby and brings so much joy and happiness in our lives. She is such a gift from God.

I have come out of all of this with a better appreciation of life. I hope to make the best of this situation by helping others who will experience a similar loss.
