Over the past three years it has been flipped upside down. I am 31 years old, and married to my hubby of three years, Josh. We have 4 beautiful angel babies, who are fondly known as our “Green Beans”. The first of my quads, Heidi, held on as long as she could and was born on January 31, 2009 after pPROMing at 17 weeks. A few weeks later, I pPROM’d with my sweet Lily. Lily, Paige, and Rylan were all born at 22 weeks on February 23, 2009. Just after being released from the hospital empty handed, I returned with a high fever and infection. Two of the nights I spent in the hospital that week, I honestly thought I was going to die. It was the sickest and most hopeless I’ve ever been. I’m pretty sure my diagnosis was a broken heart.
Our journey to becoming parents has had its share of happiness and heartbreaks. I got through every day by staying close to Josh, friends and family, blogging, and relying on God that my future will be bright. All the love and support I’ve gotten has greatly helped me manage……I am alive and well, and want to be my absolute best as a result of this.
On May 1st 2011, we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Taylor, into this world. She is our miracle baby and brings so much joy and happiness in our lives. She is such a gift from God.
I have come out of all of this with a better appreciation of life. I hope to make the best of this situation by helping others who will experience a similar loss.
Good Job!! Now I need an I-phone. I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks but thats because I'm still loosing baby fat but I'm waiting for the plato..:( I went walking every morning for a week but my neighbor dogged on me so now I don't have the motivation. I wish we were alot closer I would tag along with you...lol
ReplyDeleteGood for you girl! This jog blog thing is way cool. Oh, and I just tried those sandwich thingies recently and LOVED EM! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so bummed about not having an iphone or itouch to download this application to! I would LOVE to have something so user-friendly. Yes I am a dietitian, but I still need to keep track of my calories too! Oh, and those sandwich thins are the best! We buy them in bulk at Sam's.
ReplyDeleteI dont have an Iphone or Itouch or whatever - I'm totally retarded when it comes to phones...I have to absolute basic form! HA! But I know there's a website that does that too! I can't remember what it is tho! I'll have to ask my friend that showed it to me so I can share it for those of you who dont have the spiffy phone for the app! I failed this week lol I think I only exercised ONCE *boo* BUT for some reason my normally HUGE appetite was quite small and I didn't consume as much as I usually do! Lost a pound or two! yippy!

Today is the day I started my health kick. I have ten pounds to lose. I'm downloading this application right now! I'll let you know how I go. I'm going for my first jog/stagger in a LOOOOONG time today as well. Feel very nervous! Thanks for inspiring me to finally get myself into gear xxx
ReplyDeleteI've FINALLY added your button to my blog and started my training. I'm going to do weekly updates on how I'm doing and link back to your blog. Thanks for motivating me! xxx
ReplyDeleteBenjamin LOVES those sandwich thins. We buy them at Costco in the double-sized back (for about the same cost as the regular pack at the grocery store); they're only ONE weight watchers' point, so I'll use one if we have a burger, or something...
ReplyDeleteWe eat those thin samich bread thingies all the time too, and buy them at Sam's Club in the double pack at a big discount.
ReplyDeleteReady to be jealous? For me to maintain my current weight, I can eat about 2900 calories/day. Not too shabby! Of course that's because I'm already obese so it takes a lot more calories to keep this truck moving! ;)
